mr. fox came 3 days late, despite my best efforts. days before his birth, i hiked around a mountain, walked down the mountain to my apartment in the city and climbed the stairs to my apartment on the 21st floor. nothing. and who knows how much longer little fox would've been shacked up in the womb had the doctor not given him a little inspiration. once the doctor got things moving, fox was coming in hot: 5 hours of labor and 20 minutes of pushing later, our cone-headed bundle entered the world on thursday, february 21, weighing 8 pounds 6 ounces, and measuring 20 inches long (the cone head is vanishing nicely).
some fox highlights:
- he has about 20 hairs on the crown of his head that are almost 2 inches long. momma's little bean sprout
- big hands
- long toes
- and we think we might have a dimple or two on our hands.. jury's still out on that one
he could peel fruit with those bad boys.
