i am not a dancer. not even close. i took dance classes once when i was 11 and once again when i was 23. both times were equally embarrassing. but i have a little soul in my heart, and it needs to move in a wholesome, sober, married white girl kind of way.

Oh you're awesome, I love that you looked this up. I have secret wish to be good at dancing, it's so fun. I'll do it, I could in the evenings. I'd be more for the jazz/hip-hop and not so much into the tap. But maybe? It would be so fun/funny.

I was telling my husband about how I was jealous of this hilarious girl named Erin and all the exotic places she's lived and turns out, you guys know each other. My husband is Zach Pitcher by the way. It's a small world! Well, at least a small blogging world! And now I can laugh at your funniness and not feel like a stalker since Zach knows you, what a relief!

Pshhh...I was pulling a D in ballroom in high school. Personally I would go for the funk. Can you just imagine how cool that would be to pull out a hidden talent like this? Good luck and keep us posted.
how funny; i had the exact same thought a few days ago that it would be fun to take a dance class. back in the day i grew up doing ballet, tap, jazz and i've always had an inner desire to do hip-hop. i think i would be terrible, as i'm a white girl in a white girls body, but i could at least laugh at myself with friends. let's do it!

ah, erin. i swear, i LOVE you : ) please please PLEASE take those dance classes. PUHLEASE. for all the rest of us who are dying to follow suit... let that white girl flyyy!!!
and if you're still unsure, riding the fence (or bull), go rent StepUp (AND StepUp2--even though, yes, it is slightly worse acting, but just as addicting) to get in the mode : )
in fact, come out to boston, and we'll vegg-watch them together, secretly thinking, hey i could do that... and then, after choreographing our own moves to some oldskool Paula Abdul, we'll go to the other side of beantown where there is this little flagpole sticking out of a brick wall carrying a hot pink banner that says: POLE DANCING LESSONS INSIDE (no lie, it's been there forever--i'm dying to venture in)...
we'll leave the wee ones with matt & andy. who will be jealous, i'm sure, bc if m is at all like a, he LOOOVES a good beat. to do his thang...
also meant to tell you i heard through the grapevine that there's a huge les mills super quarterly event going on in nyc sometime soon... that means they must be opening a gym there w/ lmi classes. go get certified, girlfriend. do it!
