have you ever visited east village with an infant and/or toddler? it ain't exactly family friendly; in fact, it ain't exactly normal person friendly. i feel like i need to wear my most "urban outfitters" outfit when i make the trek, and even then i feel like i did every day of my socially awkward, seventh grade life. but some foods in east village are oh-so worth the discomfort of sticking out like a sore thumb, even when i have to breastfeed my daughter whilst hipsters look on and alienate me with their unwashed hair, piercings, skinny jeans, tattoos and air of superiority.

erin she is gorgeous. i love her hat and her squishly sleepy face. you are good to venture out with two kids.. sometimes i don't dare go even with just one, but it is good to get out! and i'm sure you looked extremely stylish, i mean, look at indie.

brien: one of my favorite shirts from 1996 was of taz, bugs and daffy dressed as thugs. i can't believe i just told you that.

love those photos.

Erin, you are so stylish! If you feel that way in the east village, then they would most likely spit on me as they walk by.

Little late with some of these but here we go! I love the little singer and like you the fact that Tanner will always be my NYC boy makes me proud! Speaking of our half pint new yorkers, Tanner too had hand foot and mouth while there. He was a wee 10m old and it was scary to watch this little person stop eating and drop pounds! Soak in some of the city for me.

You guys make cute babies.
Also, screw the hipsters. You are way more hip than them anyways.

I think Indie looked the prettiest yesterday. I want her hat, although I'm quite certain that I couldn't pull it off as well as she did.

Let's go back to Butter Lane a few times in the next few months. I had almost forgotten how yummy it is.

Oh my heck, how cute is she in that hat--Erin, y'all did good. I hope things are going well. Sorry to hear about hfm--weird though, my two nephews who live near us had it the other week, too, and they couldn't figure out why, cuz everyone said it is generally spread through daycare. ??

ditto to everyone else's comments. the hat rocks. she is so pretty.

and im pretty sure those east village hipsters were thinking how all you needed while nursing indie was some dreads and a paint brush/canvas to fit right in.

You've set your daughter up to have a slew of potentially awesome band/album names. "Indie on the 6" come on...for all the Maribeths in the world that is just mean.
