but first, a few things to note:
1. the kids have been listening to a lot of harry belafonte lately.
2. although you wouldn't know it, yes, i do comb indie's hair.
3. something worth trying on your next trip to fossil rim: invite your frenemies along, make them ride in the backseat but give them lots of delicious snacks, roll down the backseat windows, put the child locks on said windows, drive past the ostriches, roll camera = instant youtube sensation. all i ask is that you give me credit when matt lauer is interviewing you on the today show.

Actual giraffe saliva?! Erin S. Burton, did you go home & bathe your children in bleach?!
This video is so happy & terrifying at the same time.
@k: harry belafonte makes me happy/absolutely terrified, so yes, exactly.
Fossil Rim! Bah! Funnest place in big D. That Mr Ostrich, man, he did not like Forrest. Eli still talks about the giraffe hitting his head on our car window. "Bemember when the giraffe hit his head and you screamed, Mommy?" Good times.
my brother told me about this place. how fun to see it on camera. cute kids, awesome vid, per e usual.
"Get it awaaay...from meeee!" -Erin Burton
I can't get over this video. I loved it so much. It filled me with pure joy + total fear. I also loved how Matt pulled a Britney Spears and let the kids drive. You Burton's know how to live I tell ya.
Oh, and we watched it twice. Sean wants to know if we can come visit now.
Wait...you can just feed the giraffes? I need to go there. Highlights--a terrified Indie and of course, the Brittany Spears/kid on the lap style driving.
i kept hoping the giraffe would lick someone. :)
I was waiting for some exciting ostrich footage after your recommendation. But I did love Indie freaking out (does that make me a bad person?)
it´s beautiful!!!! hermosos bebés!!! muy padre el video!! gracias por compartirlo familia Burton.saludos desde Acapulco!
What a fun family day! I love these videos! And I love Indie's outfit. Miss Syd has the same one and it's my favorite on her! I'm just excited to be in the same class of style as the always stylish E! :)
I can't say it enough, love the video, again! I remember doing this animal reserve somewhere between dallas and austin. Fun to be up close, but not too close. I am pretty sure I had the same reactions as you. Fun to see it again!
